Feast of the Epiphany 2020 Celebrations
UPDATE: A POOR air quality alert has been issued for Sunday, January 5. The walk from Our Lady of the Way, Emu Plains to St Finbars, Glenbrook will go ahead but participants should decide whether or not it is appropriate for them to be walking. You can read more about the meaning of a POOR air quality index for you and your activity level here. NSW Health advises that those who are sensitive to air pollution - older adults, those with heart and lung conditions, children and pregnant women - should reduce or reschedule strenuous outdoor activities.

On Sunday, January 5th we will be celebrating the Feast of the Epiphany and we'd love for you to join us. The schedule for the day is as follows:
    • 9.30am: Morning Mass @ Our Lady of the Way Church, Emu Plains
    • 10.30am: Morning tea @ Our Lady of the Way Parish Hall, Emu Plains
    • 11am - 3pm: Bush walk to St Finbars Parish, Glenbrook (10 km)
    • 3.30pm: Praise, worship and Adoration @ St Finbars Church, Glenbrook (we will be praying the prayer intentions that had been written by parishioners during this time)
    • 5pm: Feast of the Epiphany Dinner @ St Finbars Parish Hall, Glenbrook (please bring a plate to share if possible)

Epiphany Pilgrimage 2020 Cancelled

It is with sadness that we have made the decision to cancel the 2020 Epiphany Pilgrimage. No doubt this will come as no surprise in light of the current fire situation which shows no sign of ending any time soon. We continue to keep all those affected by the fires in our thoughts and prayers and give thanks for the tireless efforts and generosity of the firefighters.

We are in discussions about a possible mid-year pilgrimage (July school holidays with dates TBC) and will post relevant information to this site as these plans take shape.

We hope and pray that you have a safe and holy Christmas with your families and loved ones. Many thanks for your patience and understanding.

If you would like to walk the Way of the Magi route (the route taken by the Epiphany Pilgrims) throughout the year on your own, then please email epiphanypilgrimage@gmail.com.

We acknowledge the Dharug, Gundungurra and Dharawal people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which the Epiphany Pilgrimage and Season of Creation Camping Trip take place.  We pay respect to their Elders of the past, who have known and maintained a spiritual connection to the land for thousands of years, and give thanks to Elders present and future for their continued commitment to nurturing this sacred land and sharing their knowledge.
